Following the conclusion of the 2026 Pacific Offshore Wind Summit, registered attendees are invited to participate in a narrated harbor tour hosted by the Port of Long Beach.

The 90-minute tour will highlight the Port’s environmental sustainability programs, maritime operations, and the proposed 400-acre terminal site planned to support offshore wind turbine assembly. Attendees will gain insight into how port infrastructure plays a critical role in advancing California’s offshore wind goals.

The Harbor Tour is available to registered Summit attendees and is included in your registration at no additional cost.

Harbor Tour Details

Enjoy a narrated excursion offering an up-close look at one of the world’s premier seaports. Marvel at towering cranes, massive vessels, the world’s most advanced green terminal, plus possible sightings of local marine life.

The tour departs from Dock 3 in Rainbow Harbor, directly across from the Aquarium of the Pacific. Look for the Port of Long Beach sign.

How long is the Harbor Tour?

The Harbor Tour will last approximately 90 minutes (1.5 hours).

Is there parking available?

There is convenient parking across the street at the Aquarium / Queensway Bay Parking Garage at 99 Aquarium Way. Parking is free with validation.

What time do I need to arrive at the dock for the Harbor Tour?

Please arrive at the dock at 1:00 p.m. Boarding will be at least 15 - 20 minutes prior to the scheduled tour departure time.

Keep in mind that parking at the Aquarium structure, plus waiting for elevators or walking down stairs, can take as much as an additional 15-30 minutes, so please plan accordingly. The earlier you arrive, the better chance you have for the seat of your choice.

The tour wil depart promptly at the posted time.

Where does the Harbor Tour depart from?

The tour depart from Dock 3, across from the Aquarium of the Pacific.

Look for the Port of Long Beach sign and make sure you are standing in the correct line.

Is the Harbor Tour ADA accessible?

Yes, the tour is ADA accessible. If you need additional assistance, please send us an email with your needs and we will be happy to accommodate.

Will there be food on board?

Complimentary boxed lunches and beverages are provided (choicesof soda, water, tea and coffee).

Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on-board.

Are there restrooms on board?

Yes, there are restrooms on board for the tour.

Can I take pictures during the Harbor Tour?

Please note the use of drones is not allowed in the Port area due to state and federal restrictions.

What type of clothing should I wear?

Please keep in mind that it does get cooler out on the water than on land, so layers are ideal.

Flat, skid-resistant, closed toe and no-heel or low-heel shoes are recommended.

Will I get seasick?

The entire tour is inside the Long Beach Breakwater and the waters are usually calm even on windy days. Occasionally we cross the wake of a larger vessel, so if you are extremely sensitive you may wish to take precautions.  

The calm waters of the harbor make for a smooth and relaxing ride for everyone.
